The PMI Northern Italy Chapter was founded in 1996 by a group of 'pioneers' from the corporate, academic and professional world, the Chapter was immediately characterized as an open gathering place where experience and expertise differentiated by sector, company, geographic area.
The Chapter is headquartered in Milan, but operates throughout northern Italy with a very significant presence in central Piedmont (Chivasso branch), Veneto (Verona branch), in Tuscany (Florence branch) and Emilia-Romagna (Bologna branch), where they organize some of the events and activities of the association.
The main purpose of the Northern Italy Chapter is to promote the mission and objectives of the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the local area.
The Chapter, while developing membership and active participation, aims in particular at:
• Contributing to professional development in project management through programs and initiatives based on local needs;
• Promoting research and seminars to strengthen the professional skills of project managers and contributing to PMI Certification programs;
• Raising awareness of the profession, the principles and techniques of project management in companies, universities and other professional associations.
Primarily, the Chapter’s goal is to promote the exchange of experiences between members or between the main protagonists of project management in Italy.
